The Black One Octave Down is, as the name suggests a tweaked version of our standard Black One pedal, with the octave up circuit swapped out for a synthy, glitchy octave down.
There are two lower octaves available. The 'Octave' control blends in one octave down, all the way down is 100% dry, and all the way up is 100% octave. Turning up the 'Sub' control will blend in a signal that is 2 octaves down, for speaker destroying sub bass.
The octave down is glitchy, synthy and monophonic, it embraces chaos, and loves heavy riffs + leads. Blending in a tiny amount can also help to thicken up your low end.
Beyond that it is the same as our standard Black One. The same Rat-based distortion you know and love, with some subtle tonal improvements. The front facing clipping diode selector on the standard Black One has been placed on the inside for "set and forget" adjustment of symmetrical, asymmetrical, and open clipping modes. Units ship with switch set to asymmetrical mode as standard. The left footswitch engages a booster, controlled by the 'weight' control, with enough level to destroy the clean headroom of even the most stubborn amplifier.

Power:
The Black One Octave Down takes standard (boss style) 9VDC centre negative power, with a 2.1mm barrel. Do not run it on anything else!
All Dirty Sock Effects have a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and normal wear and tear. If it breaks, we will fix it.
